Terms of Service

These terms describe the working basis for Sculpteo quote requests, additive manufacturing review, order processing, and support communication. They are written for business users who submit CAD files, drawings, specifications, purchasing instructions, or project notes for review.

Quote and manufacturing scope

A quotation is based on the files and requirements provided at the time of review. Material, process, finish, dimensional inspection, packaging, and lead-time assumptions must be confirmed before production release. If a file changes, Sculpteo may revise the quote because geometry, orientation, support strategy, nesting, and finishing requirements can materially affect manufacturing cost and timing.

Customer files and technical information

The customer is responsible for submitting files they are authorized to share. Sculpteo treats submitted project information as confidential operating information and uses it to evaluate manufacturability, prepare quotes, manufacture ordered parts, provide support, and maintain reorder records. NDA handling may be requested for sensitive programs.

Submitted files should include the latest revision available to the buyer. If a drawing, STEP file, mesh file, purchase note, or inspection requirement conflicts with another document, Sculpteo may ask the customer to confirm the controlling revision before production. The customer remains responsible for verifying that the part design, intended use, regulatory requirements, and end-use testing plan are appropriate for the application.

Order review and acceptance

Production begins after the buyer approves the quote, provides required purchase documentation, and resolves any open engineering questions. Sculpteo may decline or pause work if the request includes unsafe use, incomplete specifications, export-sensitive restrictions, or requirements that cannot be verified by the selected process.

Inspection and acceptance criteria

Unless otherwise stated in the quote, parts are evaluated against the accepted manufacturing notes, process capabilities, and visual finish expectations for the selected route. Tight tolerance, first-article, material certification, or special inspection requirements must be requested before order release.

Lead times are estimates based on the selected process, queue capacity, finishing scope, inspection scope, and logistics assumptions. A quote may identify dependencies that must be resolved before the schedule is confirmed, including file repair, customer approval, material availability, export review, or payment status. Sculpteo will make reasonable efforts to communicate schedule changes when they become known.

Limitation

Additive manufacturing is process-dependent. Sculpteo does not guarantee that a printed part will be suitable for every final application unless the intended use, operating environment, acceptance criteria, and validation plan are explicitly reviewed and accepted.

These terms may be supplemented by a written quote, purchase order, statement of work, or mutually agreed contract. If a specific written agreement conflicts with these general terms, the written agreement controls for that order to the extent of the conflict.
